Yes you are absolutely correct, how someone looks in high school is just about as good as they will EVER look without major surgical intervention.
Your place in the high school hierarchy determines the trajectory of your entire adult life, especially as a woman.
And yes, normies absolutely love easy targets and punching down on us. Of the cheap manual jobs I was able to get I never made any friends and was talked about behind my back. I know this because they would do it WHILE I WAS WITHIN EARSHOT. I think it must have been a power trip thing. I eventually got used to it by using the "Grey rock" method.
It's very painful to know you're constantly the butt of a joke and your coworkers either treat you with derision or ignore you, but it's 100% better to be ignored.
I'm sorry that happened to you, people can be so disgusting with how they treat others especially when their cruelty is socially acceptable. I can't tell if people who talk badly about someone in said someone's hearing range is doing it on purpose or not and I'm not sure which one is worse.
The myth people like to give bullied kids that it gets better after graduation is harmful and needs to stop.
